My friend just got a job as a radio broadcaster for a minor league baseball team.

He would like to save his broadcasts. I suggested he get some kind of radio card for his powermac (quicksilver 733 osX 10.2.5).

What are some of his choices?

What format do they save in (quicktime, mp3/4, other)?

Would a video card that hooks into his radio be better?

Thanks.

I have recorded off the radio before, all I did was feed the amp of my home entertainment system into the Line-In of my powermac and recorded it using Peak (I think that is what I used - has been a while).

Worked fine and used peak to edit it up.

Saves on the cost of buying a Tuner Card (Not even sure if there is anything on the market ?)

Try this... It's a USB FM antenna/tuner

Cheap and I heard it works very well. It only comes with PC software, but there is a some shareware on VersionTracker that will operate it on a Mac...

Good luck
