Hi,

I have never booted off my iPod and I first tried it last weekend. I installed the 10.2.3 (from the FW800 DVD) into the iPod w/1.2.6 update. Then I restarted my Mac and hold the "option" key, it showed up my iPod and internal HD. Then I picked the iPod to boot the system, but it stuck in the grey Apple logo. I have to press the power button on my G4 to shut it down and start it up again.

Anyone have this problem after the iPod 1.2.6 software update? Thank you.

I know Apple don't recommend to run the OS from an iPod.. but it is just for backup.
