Here's something I would really love to get for my PowerBook, but is only PC Pentium compatible. If you are interested, email XM that they need a Mac OS X version of the software quickly!!!

I love the XM Radio I have in my car, I bought the Delphi docking unit. If you haven't tried XM yet, give it a try. In my area we have horrible radio stations and I was spending $50-$60 a month in CDs. Even the wife likes it.

You don't have to have a broadband connection to get good sounding audio on your computer. Actually, you don't have to have any internet connection to use it.

I find internet radio unlistenable. the quality is very low. I also find internet radio lacking in programming. I listen to a huge variety of music, I prefer rock, but I also listen to progressive country and old-school rap. I simply cannot find reliable internet radio. I find a cool site/itunes station and a few weeks later it has folded.

Have you checked out the XM PCR site yet? There's a lot of other info there.

From XM's website:
Will XM PCR make my computer or the internet run slower?

No. The XM PCR software interface is very lightweight and should not slow down your computer. Unlike internet streaming, which is slow and sounds inferior to XM's full digital quality, XM PCR does not require or use an internet connection. It's not Internet, it's Satellite Radio.
