For the past 3+ years, I have been using ePocrates on my Visor Deluxe. (ePocrates is a very useful drug reference application for PDA devices used by thousands of health care professionals) I can not get the latest version of ePocrates to hotsync with my Visor due to error 6410: "lost connection with the handheld device." According to ePocrates tech support, this is a big problem with mac users and especially mac users with Visors. PC users had the same problem until Palm Desktop 4.1 came out. Unfortunately, only Palm Desktop 4.0 is available for Mac users. I believe it is a problem with "USB timing out." This problem does not occur with all mac users so I'd like to find out why I'm having the problem. Here's my setup:

800 MHz FP iMac w/ 1 Gig RAM

USB Devices:
Handspring Visor Deluxe
Epson Stylus color 640 printer
Zip 250 drive
Standard Apple Pro KB and Mouse
Belkin 4-port USB Hub

Arescom NetDSL modem connected via ethernet

Software:
Mac OS 10.2.4
Palm Desktop 4.0
Entourage X (with palm conduit for syncing-I have tried syncing ePocrates with this conduit off)

I should clarify that I am trying to get ePocrates Rx Pro to work on my Visor. ePocrates Rx (not Pro) used to be available as a full download for Mac users, but now you have to use their Pro version which includes AutoUpdate (updates drug databases while syncing kind of like AvantGo or Vindigo). It is durring AutoUpdate that I loose the connection.

Any one know if Palm Desktop 4.1 is comming out and if it will resolve this problem like it did with PC users? Or, is any one getting ePocrates Rx Pro to work with their mac and PDA? Help please?!
