I'm just trying to get an idea of what other people can get for educational discounts on the new iPod. I've looked at the pricing and the University of Calgary and the 30 GB is reduced less compared to the 10 GB

Code:
Educational Price Regular Price Difference 10GB $412.50 $459.00 $46.50 15GB $567.60 $599.00 $31.40 30GB $722.70 $749.00 $26.30
If I do recall, the old iPod's got bigger discounts as you got the more expensive model.... And I notice from the US Education discount that it's $30US consistantly (about $45CDN). Anyone else in Canada notice this at their local institution? Or am I alone here....

The discounts remained the same for mine.

However, considering you'll pay sales tax, it's not a good idea to order one from Apple.com. Rather, check out www.macmall.com as they're throwing in freeies with it.

Unfourtunatly, that's kinda like the MusicStore, US only. Theres not enough competition in Canada to be getting freebies - just small price breaks - and very rarely does any store "pay the GST for you."

The education pricing is cheaper for a 15GB iPod, than it was for the old 10GB iPod in Australia. By around AUS$40.

Very tempting indeed!
