I'm in the market for a replacment keyboard. My stipulation is that it has to be an ergonomic, split layout (preferably with programmable multimedia buttons to replace the ones on the Apple Pro Keyboard). I've tried Adesso's ergonomic keyboards and they feel flimsy and cheap (one that I had ordered previously arrived with a broken caps lock key). Macally doesn't make an ergonomic model, so that pretty much leaves me with two choices:

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Pro

Logitech Cordless Comfort Duo

Does anyone have any experience/opinions about which one is the better keyboard?

I personally own the Adessor TRU-Forum Ice-Key Ergo. Keyboard and love it, but since you don't dig their products, I'd get the MS keyboard.

My old-school MS Ergo. keyboard has performed flawlessly in daily use for over 5 years, and it's comfort level is wonderful.

Both of those keyboards (and mice) look great. However, the fact that you need to recharge wireless keyboards and mice (or replace batteries) is a major holdup in my book. Are there any wired alternatives?

In terms of ergonomics, I absolutely loved my old-school MS Ergo for the many years I used it. I wish there were a model in the translucent/black style of the Apple Pro Keyboard.

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

i have always been a huge fan of the microsoft natural keyboards and had all the versions up to the natural keyboard pro.

only reason i am not using one now, is that i have gotten used to the keyboard on my laptop.

i own a microsoft optical wirless blue mouse for when i feel like sitting at my desk and i like it a lot.

i would go with the natural wireless desktop
