New iPod: can I use old car stereo cassette adapter?

I am confused about whether I can use the cassette adapter that I have now.

Yes, you should be able to, as the cassette adapter uses a mini-plug, as does the headphones you plug into the ipod. I know it works fine on my old iPod..
