Whoo hoo!
As of 18:20 May 2 2003, I am the proud new owner of a new iPod.
Photos from the iPod launch event are online here: http://pjammer.livejournal.com/2003/05/02/ ... updated from the store's own Airport wireless network. HA!

It was the Emeryville Apple Store.
The DJ is playing all the music through an iPod himself.
Too much coolness for one evening.

Wow, oogje, that's awesome! Five (5) inline QuickTime movies alongside still pictures on one single page. That's the digital lifestyle right there! You were not kidding with "very bandwidth intensive." Maybe it's time to bump my DSL up to a T1. What a crowd too.

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

Try a T3, since a T1 is not going to be much better than DSL (except for the up not being capped).

I just stopped by the Emryville Store today, the new ipods are awesome. They still had some t-shirts left so I bought one. Also saw the banner in the etc. section where the supposed picture of the new keyboard is. It look different.

Heh. Gotta love that:
I wonder if future DJs will do that instead of the gadzillion CD setup.
