For those of us without a PCI slot in our Mac, any chance of this company coming out with a Firewire solution? Also, how about a Firewire HDTV solution while they're at it?

Maybe you read the follow on their web yet, but it saids...

Q: "* Does an external version of Televio exist? (FireWire, USB, PC-Card)

A: Regrettably no. There only exists a PCI plug-in-card. But we check the possibility for an external product that will work for iMacs and PowerBooks."

I have my eye on this card. I'm waiting for someone to buy it so that I can see if sleep works with the card installed. If it does, then it will have to gain some feature parity with EyeTV. Once those two are taken care of, I'll buy it.

I wonder how unorthodox it would be for El Gato to acquire this device from the OEM and ship it with the EyeTV software. One can dream...
