Do you suppose it uses 10 different connections to the computer? Anyone know what the limit on the number of monitors that can be connected to a computer with their own desktop space.

5 dual head video cards ought to do the trick. I think the number of desktops is limited to the number of video cards a computer can hold. You could use this monitor with a new powermac, you would buy 4 ATI Radeon 7000's and a dual head agp card.

That's impressive, but I think it would suck. I mean, how are you supposed to watch huge pr0n with all those display bezels intersecting everywhere?

Oh my God. That thing is insane. I'd love having one, if just to say I have it.

Actually, I believe my father has one at work. He does a lot of high resolution CAT scans. He was saying they have a zillion monitors that basically wrap the image around your whole head.

I don't knw about the mac, but windows will support up to 10 monintors.

Of course, 22,000 is a bit much for all this. After all you could pick up a good 19 lcd for 700-800 dollars (10x800=8000) Spend another couple grand to have a custom rack made for these, (lets say 4 -5G) Another 500 for a couple of dual head cards and 200 for cables.

Thats 13,700 for something that has better componenets, and easily separatable screens (so if one dies your not screwed)

I smell a scam, or a dumb***

Ok maybe not a scam, but some outrageous monitors. Heres a link to their website

Check out the one with 10 22 inch lcds

http://www.9xmedia.com/pages-Build_a...-5_over_5.html

Now check out the price: 155,799 !!!!!

Thats a hell of a margin I'd bet.

(hmm, I told my boss I was going to order some new monitors, I wonder if he would notice. )
