I saw this picture too... in person (probably like many of you):

It can be found on the large "Accessories" posters behind the cash registers in all Apple Stores.

I saw it myself last night and was surprised because I didn't recognize the profile... perhaps it is just a CGI image (purely for design purposes), or maybe Apple is publicly hinting at the design of their new keyboard.

P.S.: FWIW, the CURRENT mouse is shown on the same poster in all Apple Stores. This leads me to believe that this keyboard image is most likely not a real future product image, because if it were, the mouse would probably be updated on the poster as well.

Damn...I really hope that's not true. There needs to be some difference with the kb/mouse for the 970 PM's. Just for coolness factor alone. This picture looks really cool. If the board in the picture is true, I hope the bottom of the keyboard is one big piece of plastic and not on some kind of clear plastic stand...it's much nicer at least from a design standpoint.

Never
Has anyone, upon seeing this poster at an Apple Store, asked an employee about it to see if they might drop some sort of hints?

May just be design, or a compact keyboard. Cuz, ther enter key's not there. Should be 2 keys deep. Also, you don't see any break in the keys, as in between the numeric keypad and the qwerty layout. There's just a complete column of small keys in each row. No keyboard, I've ever seen.

I have to pick up my repaired iBook tonight. I'll ask.

Didn't notice it myself...but I was busy worrying about my lack of video on the iBook...
