I was wondering how many of you keep your music only on your ipod and not on the computer hard drive. Since I have upgraded from 5gb to 30, I have more than enough room to put all of my music on it and I see no reason to have the songs sitting on my HD as well.
I keep my iPod in manual mode always because I get music while I am at work too. My only concern is deleting the music on my computer and then having my ipod become corrupted
The other negative to storing your music only on the iPod and not your computer is you're then not able to browse and utilitze your iTunes' Library from within iPhoto and iMovie.
That's the main thing holding me back from storing my music on my iPod only...
also if you use your ipod as the main way to play you Mp3's of ACC, not you Mac then your chances of drainging the battery, and killing the hard drive is greatly increased
You are a brave person just keeping your collection on the iPod! The pain you would go through if you lost the files on your iPod, it would be worth just keeping a backup on your mac.
