Are you sure? I thought that 1220c/ps has built-in PostScript? If you have the printer's PPD file it should be able to print from the print center and select the printer's PPD file.
Anyway, PostScript capable ink-jet printer for tabloid (or A3 for the matter)... I did a fair amount to research, and this is what I know:
Canon: don't have any printer support PostScript.
Epson: Stylus colour 2100/2200 has an add-on software for PostScript printing. However the information I can get hold on about that software is virtually none. It seems it only works on OS 9
HP: Deskjet cp1700ps support PostScript (software RIP, not sure if it is OS X compatible) Also high end business-oriented inkjet printer such as Business Inject 2600 or 3000 do support PostScript level 3. No idea how good/bad the Mac OS X support (it's out of my budget

)
Unfortunately it isn't easy to get a PostScript capable inkjet printer at a reasonable cost... it seems either printer manufacturer thinks only business customers interested in PostScript, or Adobe still charging too much for the PostScript licensing...
Hope this helps.
