Where are they? This damn thing already has a light scratch on the back due to apple's case.
Anyone have any links to companies putting out cases for the new 10, 15, and 30 gig iPods?! Thanks

Okay. Anybody seen anything interesting yet now that it's been a couple of weeks?
Nothing over at iPoding, or was it iPodLounge, looks all that great.

None are shipping now, but the SFBags are shipping very soon...here's links to all companies taking pre-orders:
www.sfbags.com
www.speckproducts.com
www.everythingipod.com
www.marware.com
I've also contacted Contour Designs and an iSee for the new iPod is in the works, however he wouldn't give me a clear release date. Veja is also working on a 3rd gen. iPod case.

Of all those above, I think I'll wait for these from Marware.
For my 5 GB iPod, I'm pretty happy with a leather case, which also covers the screen and an iSkin. I use the two interchangeably, depending on what I'm doing. Anyone using a neoprene case? Is that material like the SCUBA suit stuff? Do you like it? I'm trying to decide between leather and neoprene for my Gen 2 case.

i know it's your baby, but scratches are unfortunately inevitable. apple's case kind of sucks though, and if you want to avoid scratches, i recommend keeping it just in the pouch the case came in rather than the case itself. my new 15gig doesn't really have any scratches yet.

mine's all scratched like nuts, and i keep it in the little pouch case all the time. problem is, i keep the headphones and the remote in there, too, and i think they (the remote, especially) are scratching up the pod like crazy.
i've been trying to at least keep the back of the pod facing the accessories in the bag, so the face doesn't get scratched up. but i've only had it three weeks, and it already looks like it's been a year...

I also noticed the the new iPod scratches easily... Well at least all the used iPod in the marketplace will be scratched the day you try to sell yours!

There is a new case from Booq called the PodPaq that seems like it is the new case to beat.
It looks good, is nicely built for protection, and is not too expensive ($40).
Ships the 22nd!

i'm still waiting for my iSkin eXo to come ( www.iskin.com) it was originally supposed to ship on the 14th, but they had some kind of shipping delay, and as far as i know it hasn't shipped yet... i just hope it ships before i leave for Seattle on the 29th
edit: they changed their estimated shipping date now from 'End of July' to 'Towards the End of July' so i wonder what that means...

Its pretty pathetic that the iSkin exo's aren't shipping, yet they had them available for sale at MacWorld (I read this).

The Marware guy told me (via email) that the CEO Glove will be available next week. Of course, he could have told me that just so I'll keep waiting but you never know.

My girlfriend and I got our Marwares about a month ago. Been running with it on my arm and couldn't be much happier. Recommend the sportsuit for you active folks out there.
Encountered a dude on the track where I run who was using the iPod while running and kept having to stop because it was on his hip and was apparently behaving badly.
My iPod was in bubble-wrap until I got the Marware, so I have no scratches. If you *REALLY* care about scratches or smudges, you can avoid getting them.

Just ordered the iPod Skin 3-pack from http://www.speckproducts.com/ (splitting it with a friend). I'll let you know what I think of it when I get it in next week.

Whats the best case to use while running?
I like the look of the DLO Action jacket and it looks like it would be nice to have on your arm, but the Marware sport sleaves looks nice as well.

Okay, just got my leather case today, and all I have to say is "wow." Its sooo nice. The case fits so perfectly, the leather is so soft... I'm in love. I highly recommend this case to anyone who is interested. The only downside I see is that the pockets on the case aren't very large, kind of hard to stuff headphones in... but that's about. The cover snaps on very solidly, and the magnetic buttons that hold the flap closed in the front are just like a purse. There is nothing cheap feeling about this case at all. Go order one!

it's good to hear that there's gonna be some good cases out there... personally, i'm still waiting for my White Frost iSkin eXo to ship. latest word from the iSkin folks is that they're shipping as they get them in, but they don't say which colors they're getting in or how many or anything, so who knows when i'll get it...

Are there any case options that can remain on the iPod
while its in its Dock? There doesn't seem to be much
room at all... but thought I'd ask... otherwise, I'll
likely not use my dock much.
