Is the transformer (wall-wort, plug-in, charger, whatever you want to call it, the white box)

is this the same voltage output as the new powerbook's? it looks just like the one for my 12, but I'm assuming it's outputing a lower voltage.

there's a few reasons it wont work:

- it uses a firewire port for output
- it supplies as much power as a powered firewire port (not sure how much this is, but not as much as the powerbook takes)
- it's about half the size (doesn't necessarily mean anything, but makes it obvious that they're different)

gotcha...

that was one of the ideas my pal and i were coming up with for my jeep liberty, using a firewire port installed aesthetically on the dash somewhere...

he'll do the wiring and voltage converting/fuse protection for me, it should be really cool, i don't want to deal with a 12v adapter.
