I'm in the market to buy an iPod (two, actually) and I'm wondering if there are any dedicated iPod sites that track deals and specials. I know dealmac watches this somewhat, but I'm looking for a niche site that specifically watches iPods.

Alternatively, what's the best deal going? I want a 15GB and a 30GB, so I'll pass on the Target deal for the 10GB model.

Thanks, that's a great start. But they don't seem to be completely up to date. For instance, when I try MacMall, I see nothing about the speaker deal (though I recall seeing it last week maybe).

Also, it doesn't include Target, which seems to run inexplicable sales on iPods. They must be selling them at a loss to attract people to the store. But you have to get "humint" on it because they don't advertise this on the web site, people just see this in stores.

Any other sites? I doubt I'll find a decent price (Apple stuff never seems to be more than $5 off from store to store), but I'd be interested in a bundle deal (free stuff).

You're best bet on bundles is to watch that exact site, and occasionally www.powerbookcentral.com posts pricing info on iPods on their site.

Also, just so you know, RETAIL store Best Buy is selling their leftover old-model iPods (which I prefer) for ~$100 off each model. Too, Target is selling their leftover old 10gig iPods for ~$70 off. I've already heard reports of CompUSA giving nice discounts on their leftover old iPods.

But as far as new ones, that price tracking site is about your only hope to finding bundle deals on them.

Thanks.

Hmm... all the prices are pretty much the same, except the Apple Store for Education, and I graduated over a year ago.

Powerbookcentral and www.macprices.com are the same people, so they post the same deals. www.dealmac.com is a good place to look, too.
