Hey--

I just bought a 15 GB iPod. It's been great. But I have a question about battery life, especially the indicator. I know there were problems with the old iPod that I guess got fixed with software updates.

I recently turned on my iPod, the battery indicator said 3 lines, then it went to 2, then it quickly went to 1 in a matter of 1 minute... then it went back to 2 lines. So I'm worried that I might have a messed up iPod or maybe this happens to everyone.

It says the battery lasts 8 hours, but how long do you find the battery last with normal use? 4 hours?

Should I be worried about this? Or is the only way to know for sure is to use the iPod until it runs out of juice?

It depends on what you are doing, if you are skipping songs or the backlight is on then the indicator might drop, it also takes it a while to figure out how long the battery will last. Chill.
