I'd keep the 30gig iPod for music usage, and I'd give the other to my girlfriend. If you have no girlfriend, I'd highly suggest selling it and buying a FireWire hard drive enclosure & hard drive & pocket the leftover cash.

Get more music. I might need 3 iPods for the 65+ gigs that I have (worked in the music biz for a while - got a serious habit). it's a great big musical world.

Get kick-arse speakers and use one to replace your home stereo. Use the other as a typical, mobile-use iPod.

You can buy a pretty big FW hard drive for what an iPod costs.

The iPod isnt meant to be an external drive. It gets really hot. I'm not sure how long it would last as strictly a FireWire drive. For the price of a 15Gig iPod, you could easily get over 120Gigs of external storage space.
