Back in a few years ago if you have want to have several monitors attached to a Mac, you would need two things:

1. Plenty of $$$
2. One spare PCI slot for each video card you need to add per additional monitor

Given virtually all video cards on the market nowadays are all AGP based, and there's only one AGP slot per machine, does it mean it is only possible to have two monitors per Mac (with the AGP video card has two monitor ports), unless I can find some "vintage" PCI video card?

Is there any more new PCI video card released nowadays (other than ATi Radeon 7500?)

Particularly, look at their Multiple Monitor Series (MMS):

I'm running a Geforce3 AGP and a old XClaimVR 128 PCI, (using 10.2.6) Works fine. I must admit, the old VR128 card perform poorly compared to the AGP/Quartz. None-the-less, it works great as a palatte moniter.

ATI 7000 for 120 bucks and one PCI slot will give you support for two monitors more. So if you have a AGP with dual support you have then support for 4 monitors
