Hi folks. Today I just bought a 10GB iPod from the Apple Store at the Walt Whitman Mall. I've fallen in love with it. It's light, small and can do plenty of things my discman (haven't used that in over a year) and cassette player (you know what a royal pain in the a$$ it is to get data from cd to tape nowadays, not to mention losing the tapes...

Anyway, when I'm exercising, usually running, pressure is put on the cable, which isn't that strong, but with the earplugs it's often enough to yank one out of my ear.

What I'm looking for is a solution that won't pop off my head or ears while I'm running. Any advice? Also, inexpensive but not tinny is preferred. Thanks in advance.

Well actually you could purchase an iPod remote that'll extend the cord a bit, plenty to relieve that tension.

But if you're looking for new earbuds, I'd highly suggest the Sony MDR-EX70s, and searching these forums for earbuds or headphones will yeild tons of responses.

I definitely agree with the remote. You want to keep the iPod itself clean and dry so the remote is a must. No sweaty hands on the iPod itself.

The problem I've had with the iPod while execising (jogging on treadmill) is that it jams up with the jumping motion. I have to set the iPod aside which means I have the cables dangling and swinging back and forth which is annoying. I think wireless headphones are the answer but I don't wish to spend the money on them.
