Well my 30Gig finally came on tuesday. Wow, just wow, what an amazing machine. I've been waiting since December for Apple to release this baby.

Anyways, I have an older good quality cassete adapter for a Sony discman that I used to use in the car. I'm wondering if the technology in these things has changed in 5 years - is it worth buying a new one? I want to get the best sound to my car stereo after droping over $700CDN on this thing.

Anyone have any experience with using an older one vs a newer one?

No, the technology hasn't really changed. If it's still working, go with it, I've had them crap out on me before.

Cool. Thanks maxintosh. I'll wait till it dies, or till I can afford a car stereo with a line-in.
