I just wonder how long it will take until we can get the T610 (officially, not via overpriced imports) here in the US. I'm in need of a new phone, and the T610 looks like it could replace my Palm at the same time. (I only use my Palm for contacts and scheduling.)

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

I must say I think the T610 is overrated. Reading reports from the countries that have them, I've heard that battery life is questionable, the camera is mediocre (even for a phone), and reception suffers the same fate of the T68i. Plus memory is stuck at 2 MB (terrible for a camera phone) and it would be nice to have Symbian.

I never thought I'd be saying this, but the Nokia 3650 has risen to the top of my list. Higher camera resolution, video capture, MMC expansion, tons of Symbian applications, and better reception.

The T610 looks great for business users, but may not satisfy tech-geeks (like myself). Too bad because it's very handsome.

It's not perfect. I'll reserve final judgement until it's been in general release for a couple months though.

I wonder if the t-six-ten site launch will coincide with the actual release date?

You can buy one now. I received mine yesterday, and it is an incredible phone minus the hardware bug that most have(hissing sound when making a call). The screen is amazing, and it works with iSync just fine. No need for a PDA if you are using this phone imo. I bought mine from a allglobaltk before he went up on the price. Now many suppliers have a huge price tag due to the demand. I would recommend waiting b/c of the hardware bug. SE is aware of the problem, and should have the problem fixed within two weeks.
