Hello,

I would appreciate any suggestions from my fellow Mac users. I am looking for something not too expensive but well designed and preferably white.

Would the Apple Pro Speakers work with the dock?

Thanks.
Have a nice day!

Apple Pro Speakers won't work (they don't use a standard stereo jack).

Look in one of the other 3,000 speaker threads in this forum, and you should find some good ones.

I'd go for low end logitechs, which sound pretty good given their price. Also cambridge soundworks makes cheap options.

i went to best buy the other day to play with jbl creature, it sounds wonderful. However it doesn't have a headphone jack which i think its essential for me so i didn't buy it.

Thanks for all the input. Mea culpa if this has been discussed to death.

I think I will get the Creatures.

Cheers.
Have a nice day!

eek!

The Creatures sound like ass IMO. You can spend just as much and get much better speakers, like the low-end Logitechs (if you like loud, thumpy bass) or you could go with some Moonsoon Planar Media 9s (IIRC), or some Altec Lansing 621s. Both of these speakers sound exponentially better than the Creatures and are in the same price range.

HTH.

Klipsch Pro Media 2.0 speakers. You won't regret it. Sounds awesome and affordable. Check it out!
