Is there an AIM client for Palm that is compatible with .mac?

I just bought my wife a Treo and thought it would be cool if she could chat while on the transit.

I'm not sure...I d/loaded Yahoo Messenger for Palm, and it'll connect enough to retrieve my buddy list but it refuses to connect on my Tungsten|C...I'm guessing the program just won't work 100% w/ OS 5.2 on the Palm.

However, if there is an AIM client for Palm it'll be at www.aim.com or try searching for "AIM" at www.versiontracker.com in the Palm OS section.

There is; you can find it on handango.com. Don't have any experience with it though, sorry.

AIM for palm won't work for .mac accounts (at least as far as I've been able to tell). I don't know of any that will work. I've tried a couple of AIM compatible palm programs, but none of them worked.

I found the official AIM client for Palm devices, but it costs $20 and there is, of course, no mention of .mac compatibility. It doesn't sound like others have had much luck with this either.

That's one I tried (found a version floating on the net before I realized it was actually pay software). Doesn't work. In fact I couldn't even get iChat to send a message to my non-.Mac AIM account when I was using it with the palm version of AIM. Seems totally incompatible. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it...
