Next time it happens I am going to delete the epson2200 package in Library/Printers and then re-install to see if that works.
Yes, do this. I had the stopped-print-queue bug for a very long Saturday afternoon shortly after I switched to OS X.

I repeatedly tried to reinstall the driver (using various sources, including the CD that came with the printer, the Jaguar Disc 2, and a download from Epson), but to no avail. Apparently the reinstallation left some printer-related stuff lying around instead of starting fresh, which is what I thought it was doing.... Anyway, after I trashed the whole EPSON folder from the library and reinstalled the driver, everything was hunky-dory.
