Ok, I bought a Canon i950 today based on reccommendations from this forum as well as www.dpreview.com's mac forum.

Here's my problem. I can't this to print correctly in Iphoto using the Canon Phot Paper Pro that is 4.72 x 8.5" that is perforated for 4 x 6. I have set the paper size as the 4.72 x 8.5 as Canon said to in its documentation with the photo paper. Then I tried different margin settings from 0 to 1.5 on top and bottom + .25 for each side. I get portions of pictures printed in one corner of the paper. What am I missing here in the Iphoto settings? What I have seen so far in the way of quality is good.
Now when I try to print in Iphoto using these margins--the wheel just turns and turns and I have to force quit. What am I doing wrong?

Please help me once again.

Thanks in advance.

i950 support borderless printing. Next time just buy 4 x 6 paper. For the time being, just remove the excess paper before putting them into the printer.

Set the papersize to 4 x 6 borderless in the page setup.

Crop the photo in iphoto using the 4 x 6 constrain.

In print advance option set the borderless extension to the max. That should print out a beauiful 4 x 6 photo which should be way better then film process.

After the printing, you can reverse the photo to it origanal in iphoto.

Buy the way, borderless printing require OSX.2.

Ok, things are much better now with Iphoto. Thanks for your help. I am just using regular 4 x 6 paper and it is working very well.

The Canon i950 is an awesome printer! Thanks for recommending it!
