Okay i need some help. I have been using my airport snow flawlessly for about 4 months now and the basestation has only been about 8 ft away from my powerbook. However recently I have moved my basestation downstairs and now I get usually 3 bars of signal yet when I try to load my browser I get nothing. I have since moved my basestation closer to my powerbook and it works fine. What could the problem be? I mean i moved it downstairs but it is not that far from my powerbook, do I need to replace my basestation or airport card? My imac picks up signal and works no matter where the basestation is in my house. please help.

2.4 ghz phones can kill the wireless signal --is there any in the area?

nope none in the area. However the basestation was in a machine room where the heater, water softner, router, and electrical boxes were, could that affect the signal?
