I have an iPod second generation,

and i wonder if there is a way to partition it without it not being able to play music.

I tried to partition it, but afterwards it shows me a file system or folder icon, and doesn't play music.

I tried both HSF+ and Fat partitions.

Reason, I just wanted to use my mac iPod to store work from Uni, and maybe the only way that the comps would see it was be to have a fat partition????

Or is it possible to download the driver for the PC, and reformate my Mac iPod so that it will be a PC iPod. Is that possible???

I screwed up my first generation iPod once, so i don't want a repeat.

I have a two 512 flash memory stick, but it is slow and my files are around 800 to 1Gig.
