Can you use a 2nd gen windows iPod on a Mac with no problems?

I have read here that you just reformat it, is that right? Will it work just like a Mac one will?

My mother bought me an iPod for graduation; but of course it is a windows one...

Thanks....

Either iPod can be reformatted either way and it'll work perfectly. Just follow the instructions HERE .

I have used a 10 gig Windows iPod on my iBook a couple of times (my little brother's friend's computer didn't work and he wanted to test his new toy ...). Two options: leave it as it is, it will work.

Reformat the iPod with HFS+ and you have a Mac iPod. The new iPods are both now.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
