Hey all, I have about 12GB of music on my hard drive and a 10GB iPod. I thought if I unchecked the songs in my library that would not sync...but they do?!?! Is that right? So how do I sync the two? I actually went through my whole music library and hand wrote out what I didn't want to have on my iPod so the hard art is done. I don't want to delete the music off my hard drive so I am eliminating that as an option. Any help would be appreciated. TIA, Brian

Are you sure you have the "sync only checked songs" option checked?

I have made an intelligent playlist which i sync with my ipod. I said i don't want bad quality tracks, no books/spoken and so on..
Imagine checkin/unchekin 2000 songs...seems to me like a lot of work!

Yeah, Smart Playlists are definitely the way to go. Especially if you have significantly more music than you can fit on your iPod. That way, you can, say, cycle random 10GB groups of songs meeting certain criteria, and so forth.
