I bought a Motorola t720 phone and was thrilled to see iSync support today. I saw the rumors a while back that the t720 might be supported but the Motorola sync cable and software was something ridiculous at almost $80. I found the cable by itself for $30 but then came across ACC Station on EBAY ( http://www.eforcity.com is their real store with pretty low prices too). I won an auction for $3.99 that was for combo including a generic USB sync cable and a faceplate for the phone (Moto faceplates are $20). I also got a JARBA headset for only $5 too. They charge about $5 for shipping and handling for an auctioned item but only $1 for each additional so it may pay to get a bunch of items from them.
I later found out that they have a 2in1 cable that can charge while plugged in the USB port for only a little more than the regular cable, which sounds handy. I ended up buying a charger and more faceplates at $0.99 each. I tried the USB cable today with iSync and it worked like a charm.

P.S. I have no affiliation with the store- I just though I would pass a long a cheap way to get iSync working with your Moto phones.

Thanks, I was considering this phone for iSync when my current service with verizon runs out. The cable cost was outrageous.

Hydra: Which version of the T720 do you have, GSM (presumably with T-Mobile) or CDMA (presumably with Verizon). Is it the plain T720 or the T720i (not sure what the difference is, if any)? A lot of people have reported problems synching with the T720 in other threads (in the Software forum).

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

I have a T720 GMS Phone with AT&T, no problems and I got my cable from the company mentioned above...
Ive been syncing with a PC, but now that is history!
Thanks iSync 1.1
I also have the T722? Faceplate, It looks great, I highly recommend it if you want to make your phone a little different.

I have the Verizon CDMA version of the 720 (the 720i has a camera attachment by the way) and found that if you play with the phone (navigate menus and the like) while syncing, iSync may lose contact with the phone. Turning the phone on and off again seems to remedy this loss of contact and all goes back to normal.

Good to hear that GSM and CDMA versions of the T720 work with non-Motorola cables after all. I wonder, though, do the GSM T720i and T722i sold by T-Mobile work with iSync as well? Or does their updated firmware (over the T720) make them incompatible with iSync 1.1. Anybody know?

From what I have read on HowardForums.com, the faceplate for the T722 is the same a faceplate sold with the T720 in Asia.
I agree that the swooped design (like on the V60) of this faceplate looks much better. mikellanes, where did you buy that faceplate?
