Guess this subject belongs here.

I was very happy to see that Palm is buying Handspring this morning.

I love Palm PDAs and know that Palm has been having a lot of difficulty over the past few years, so this news is very good news to the ears of Palm users.

Not really a matter of deep discussion unless you want to weigh in and tell us why Palm isn't the best PDA on the market -- especially since it works so well under OS X and OS 9.

I see Palm as the 98-pound weakling against other manufacturing giants like Sony and Toshiba.

Sort of the way I see Apple against Microsoft.

it still has to go thru stockholders, etc., but it looks likely. I opted to buy a handspring PDA over the Palm when I made my choice... tho now that Palm is breaking thru with some really nice handhelds, and Handspring is only trudging along, it appears as tho this move cna satisfy both handspring and palm PDA users. If you really think about it, this is like a big reunion for them.
