hey i was just thinkin is there any sort of technology thatwill boost the signal of a base station
for eg i live in a 3 story house but the station is on the top floor cause that is where the second phone line is and it would take the whole point of wireless away if i were to run a 10m cable round the house to move it to a better place.
i do get a good signal in most rooms however these are the ones i visit least often like the kitchen or spare bedrooms so is there anythin out there that i could get to say put on the middle floor that wolud pick up the signal and boost it to the whole house?

i would rather not tamper with the acctual station (i heard some guy in australia put an amp or summat on his and boosted the signal immensly) but my parents object to me moddin things like that
any help thanks

There is, it's called Airport Extreme Base Station...

You could:
* connecting an external antenna to it, or
* wireless bridging with yet another AEBS.

The extra cable sounds cheaper to me. You may try turning & tilting your ABS first into another direction, sometimes it helps.

In my garden, at one spot, my iBook looses connection within 18 feet with the ABS, the signal is going thru 4 walls however.
I'm-a trying to wonder, wonder, wonder why you, wonder, wonder why you act so.
