Is your iPod backlight white or blue

Due to recent discussions I thought I'd try and get some numbers on this topic. It only applies to new iPods. It appears that some people have iPods with blue backlighting like the picture on the side of the box, whereas most others have white - like me.

One of the first polls I'm actually interested in seeing the outcome of. My backlight is white... But I'm really interested in whether there are actually two different colors of backlights. If Apple did this, why!?

I don't think there are two colors... depends of the light you them with... no ?
mine seems white, but may look blue in complete dark room

Mine normally looks white but after it's been charged or heated up it sometimes looks like a dark blue (5 GB iPod)

Same with mine. sometimes it looks white but in some lighting, it definately has a blue tint...

Yeah I tend to think this is the case too but I thought I'd ask ask since there seemed to be several people sure theirs was blue including one person who said theirs was white and a friends blue (or something like that). Bizarre.

No. Same lighting, side-by-side, 2 new ipods, both charged, different color for the backlight. Maybe Apple just sped things along by getting parts from different manufacturers.

Mine is definitely of the blue-tinted variety. I noticed it immediately when I got it. I actually like it - it's a nice contrast to the warm color of the backlit buttons.
