BTW, it's wireless.

It doesn't want to work consistently (and, at the moment, it is dead). I've changed the batteries, have the latest MouseWorks software. Reboot doesn't help, nor does zapping the PRAM, nor does repairing permissions. The Apple mouse works just fine. Interestingly, until now, swapping the USB ports between the two devices would get the trackball working again, and the Apple mouse would continue to work.

I have no USB external hub, but I can't help thinking this is related. Any ideas? I'd really like to get this working 'cause it's a great device when it works. TIA,

George

Try to hook it up to another Mac or PC to see if it's a hardware related problem or a problem with the drivers, if it's a problem with the drivers try to uninstall the drivers, reboot and re-install them, you could also try to install the Mouse in OS9, if it works in OS9 you know it's not a hardware related problem, drivers can be tricky and if you really can't get it to work you should try to re-install Jaguar ( you could use the archive install method, this way you don't loose most of your preferences and apps )...
