well, i (finally) got my 15 gig iPod from Dell, and it's perfect except for a weird screen discoloration. It's kind of like a halo effect that comes out from where 'iPod' is at the top, and there's a couple dark spots too. All are either blue or yellowish. It isn't apparent in low light, but in sunlight it gets annoyingly obvious. has anyone else experienced this? What did you do? I might just take it into the Apple Store and see if they'll replace it on the spot. if not, i guess i'll live with it.

i took a picture of it, i'll upload it some time for people to see, but i don't think it's very clear in the picture, so i dunno if it'll help.

well, i took it into the Apple Store and they said "since you ordered from Dell, call them first, and if they won't replace it, we'll see if we can figure something out" and so we called dell. They were great.. almost no questions asked and they put another one on order to be shipped out Fedex tomorrow, and they're sending someone to pick up the faulty one some time next week. I don't know what the experience with apple would've been like had i needed to deal with them, but dell was great.

Apple would've swapped it out on the spot and you'd have walked out of the store with your new iPod.

Of course, you'd have paid more for your iPod there. That Dell deal was incredible!
