I remembered many many years ago (I think it was back in early 90s) from either Macworld or MacUser that PostScript emulation on laser printer isn't as good as genuine Adobe PostScript laser printers, and advised users to spend a hundred dollars more to get a Adobe PS laser printers...

Now I am looking at some of those low end colour laser printer (Minolta-QMS, HP, Epson, etc), and they are all using PostScript level 3 emulation. Are these printers good? Would there be any problem printing PostScripts from those machines (especially from Adobe apps like InDesign)??

Well, it depends. Emulations tend to have more problems, but also genuine Adobe Postscript may have problems with some documents. For most stuff, an emulation will just be as good as the original version. For some more advanced things (e. g. for proofing), you may not have all options available.

Are you thinking about buying one specific printer? Or are you looking for a printer in the price range xxxx-yyyy $/?, color or black and white, etc.?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

No specific one in my mind (I am weighing either to get a high end inkjet like Epson Stylus photo 2100/2200 or HP Business Inkjet, or a cheap PostScript colour laser printer)
