Does it work well? Does it print off of the paper? If so, wouldn't this be bad for the rollers etc?

Just wondering.. I'm scared to try it out..

My i850 can print borderless like a champ. Only issues are with some OS X driver quirks, so you have to play around a bit before you figure out the right configuration. Hint, use page setup to choose a borderless page size, and in iPhoto print FULL PAGE. I have had absolutely no luck using iPhoto's built-in settings for 4x6, 8x10, etc. I've even been able to print 8.5x11 borderless this way. The borderless extension setting is also a little confusing, I usually either set it to max or one notch away from max.

It's DESIGNED to do borderless printing, so obviously they thought ahead enough to not have it spray ink onto places it doesn't belong. (It has a big pad under where the head moves, so any ink that doesn't hit the paper gets absorbed by the pad.)

Canon borderless printing is excelent. It only work on canon software (ImageBrowser compatible with Mac OS X) so far. Borderless printing on iPhoto wont work but I saw some could do this. By the way I use the i850 and it comes with software not compatible with Mac OS X you have to go to their website to download the new version.

Yes, borderless printing work with iphoto. Just make sure you crop the photo with 4x6 constrain or what ever size of paper you're using before you print. There is no facility in iphoto print dialog to crop the photo into correct proportion.

I thought it was just my setup or something I was doing wrong! I use the same solution. To print a 4x6, I created a custom paper size at 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 and it avoids that weird vertical border. If I use iPhoto's built-in 4x6 setting, the pix come out something like 4x5 1/2... with quarter-inch borders.

The canon is freaking amazing. We've framed several borderless 8x10s for ourselves and friends. It's like something from Star Trek, magic incredibly detailed photos (and fairly quick).

Please verify, did you "crop" the image using the 4" x 6" constrain before you print? This is a very important step.
