what do you guys think of the "360 One VR" http://www.kaidan.com/Detail.bok?no=101
it seems pratical but its also rather expensive ($999),is the process of taking multiple shots really that difficult?,also some of the sample qtvrs made with that device seem to stretch out on the edges especially when you are moving horizontally,I would be using a 5.0 megapixel sony cybershot dsc-717 ,would that work well?
thanks in advanced

My issue would normally be with the resolution, but at 5.0 megapixels, it sounds like that would work well. If it seems stretched at the end I think that would be correctible in software.

What are you going to do with it?

The most attractive thing to me about it is that you can take live action shots. You can't QTVR NYC with my system, as people wouldn't be stitched together when they move.

Not to mention that you could QTVR things SO easily so, instead of taking 12 shots around or something like that.

Seems to be a quick fix solution if you've got the money, although the depth of resolution seems to be rather thin, but can this be improved with a bigger/better lens ?

I noticed that the angles are pretty sharp, without too much depth, but it would be great for anyone who needed a lot of QTVRs.

The best way is to either rent or buy a QTVR setup ( a special pan head that lets you put the center of the pan in the nodal point of the lens.) other than that you can also make some decent QTVR's with just a regular pan head. I've used both for jobs and for exacting work the special setup is nice it has indents in the pan section to take photos at specific points, repeatedly( great for taking photos indoors with windows that are blown out, take two exposures and mate them in photshop to get all the detail.).
the aparatus that you have seen is goo in that it takes 1 photo per a QTVR, allows you to stop motion, however you are shooting through a piece of glass past a mirror, the resulting image must have some optical deteriation as opposed to shooting without.
good luck
