I was just curious to if anyone here felt that the Sonica Theater by M-Audio is worth $99, as I'm considering purchasing it.

My primary use of it would be watching DVDs in surround and listening to music (not much recording) on an iBook (and soon maybe in a PowerMac G5 . . . or a PC - which supports Dolby EX output).

However, since the box cannot process Dolby Digital/DTS signals by itself and instead uses the pseudo-surround SRS Circle scheme, is it really worth $99 for the box? Is the surround output good?
