i have recently connected a windows ipod to my i book, at first the connection seemed normal and i even started to share some music. but then the itunes just froze and i had to force quit it; all the music my friend had on her ipod was lost ,or at least not shown, thus the settings showed that only 7.7 Gb was available...how is that possible?
please help me, what do i have to do to fix it?
thanks for your time.

I would try restoring the ipod software to the factory settings with the Ipod software updater.
