Hey, just looking for people to share some iPod survival horror stories. Like "I dropped my iPod underwater and it still worked after it dried out.." etc....

Any good survival stories?

i dropped my iPod in a river of magma. I grabed it and pulled it out and it still worked! I burnt all the flesh off of my right forearm too which is really cool because now I can see all the bones in my hand! Only bad thing is that my iPod is sort of encrusted with pumice now.

Getting off a plane, with my less than a week old ipod. It was in the apple case and clipped to my belt.

Was swinging my bag onto my shoulder and it hit my ipod. The belt clip broke, thee ipod hit the concrete.

Dead ipod.

Nice insurance man cut me a cheque for it the next day. Immediately bought a waterfield designs case for it. No problems since.

These aren't what you're looking for...

1. The iPod would freeze up every couple minutes, and it wouldn't mount on my desktop...Apple replaced it

2. The iPod wouldn't hold more than 2.5 gigs at a time...Apple replaced it

Seems like a pretty crappy product to me...unfortunately. On the other hand I have dropped it from hand height about 20 times with no ill effects (or maybe there have been effects )

I dropped my iPod on the sidewalk and it still worked perfect after a reset.
