Um, my new 15GB iPod is making a high pitched static hissing noise while charging . . . is that normal?

I don't think so. Is it on when it's charging? Is it playing music through the dock's output? I heard about hissing if you do that with inferior speakers.

No, when not playing music the iPod makes a hissing sound while charging . . .
