I haven't, but I'm wondering if anyone else has.
I'm so happy that my iPod doesn't do mysterious and strange things anymore. Well today, they battery didn't look full when I unplugged it from my computer, but then the thing changed after a couple seconds. I don't see that as a problem.

One so far for me. Sometimes I need to press the centre button several times to move onto the next menu (or into Contacts/Calendars etc.)
The pop between tracks is gone now, though, and I haven't needed to reset it yet.
Still a pity that the non-standard contact labels don't show as they were input.

I had to resest it once, but I think I must have a bad file in there. I have one track that locks my ipod up. Has anyone else experienced this?

This, but only maybe:
It seems that sometimes when syncing my 30GB (dock) iPod with iSync and iTunes automatically at the same time, if there's nothing to update from iTunes, iTunes will occassionally successfully complete update of the iPod and unmount it before iSync is through with it. But only after iSync think it's already mounted. So, iSync does the initial check, then moves on to check my .mac info and then when it gets back to the iPod, it can't find it and notes failure to sync with the iPod device at the end of the sync session. Weird. And inconsistent (seems like iTunes, even without any data to sync, takes a variable amount of time to report that it's finished with the iPod and unmount it).
The problem is, this situation results in a sort of quasi-mounted state where iSync doesn't think it has the iPod mounted at all, iTunes thinks the iPod is mounted within iTunes but can't update data or prefs on it, and the Finder doesn't have the iPod mounted at all, although in system profile/devices and volumes the Mac is seeing the iPod as actually connected to the FireWire port. iTunes will let you eject the iPod from iTunes, but the iPod remains connected flashing the "Do Not Disconnect" warning. Since I'm hesitant to just yank the iPod out of the dock with that warning flashing at me -- even though it's obvious no data is being tranferred to the iPod -- I have to reset the iPod and then log out and log back it in to get iTunes and iSync to once again recognize the iPod when I connect it to the dock.
For the sake of being thorough, I'm doing a full restore of the iPod from the updater. Also, this only happened after I updated to firmware 2.0.1 -- but, again, it's inconsistent, so I can't say if that had anything to do with it.
Has anyone seen anything like this? Unless anyone can make a good case to me that it's a hardware failure, I don't want to try explaining to Apple how, you know, it maybe does this once in awhile, just not, you know, now at the moment we're looking at it. And I figure if it was hardware it would consistently fail to unmount -- or more likely fail to mount -- rather than just getting stuck between the iTunes and iSync updates.

I'm pretty sure that it wasn't the case pre-2.01, but my 15GB is occasionally unresponsive or slow in responding to key presses. I just had to press the previous track button four times before the iPod did anything about it. It was already on and playing (with the backlight on - i.e. it hadn't nodded off), so it's not as if it needed to be woken up. All four presses were recognised in the end, though, requiring another three on the next track button to get the track I wanted

Yes - my clock resets itself. Not all the time, but often enough. No idea why, but it means that it tries to wake me up at 3:30pm (which it thinks is 7:30)

Plays .aiff files without having to stop to fill the memory buffer. Really cool (not that it's necessary to listen to .aiff files but atl east you can now!!)

Yup, it also happened in 2.0 though.

You're right, but it doesn't strike me as the same type of lag now. It was more consistent before than it is now, which makes it more frustrating than it was!

Mine does this too sometimes. I even had to force the machine to restart once because of this. It didn't do this in the original version of the firmware, but I didn't have the chance to use it as long then either...
Another problem I've had is that the clock needs to be set all the time. It should synchronise with the system clock, but sometimes it'll be hours off and need me to get in there and do it on the iPod itself. Bit of a pain.

I finally took it to the Apple Store because of the mounting issue and they sent off for a replacement iPod. The new iPod came with 2.0.1 as well and guess what? I tested it and it did the exact same thing sometimes with the half-mounted status. So, it's definitely firmware, as the replacement exhibits the same issue. Oh well, at least we know for sure it's firmware. 2.0 never caused this issue.

Interesting - thanks for posting back about it. Eventually they'll fix it, I'd imagine. 2.01 does seem to be better than 2.0, so a new version which saves them fielding calls from people like us can't be miles off...
