I am looking for a 17" flat screen to use with my 12"PB. Anyone got any recommendations or good experiences?

Cheers.

There is a pretty good thread on a couple of displays in the PowerMac forum. I found it interesting and it would appear that the perferred display is the one from NEC which uses VGA.

I've also read very good things about Samsung's 172T (which is both VGA and DVI for when Apple put DVI on a later revision of the 12"!). There are people on this board who swear by their 172Ts.

Mastrap: Also check the following two threads in the PowerBook forum.

Question about the 12 inch
and
12 inch in clamshell mode

Personally, I like the Formac flat panels because they are a close second to Apple's LCDs (which we can't use because the 12-inch PowerBook doesn't have DVI-out). The only reason to get a less pretty LCD is if you can use multiple inputs, e.g. to share the LCD between your 12-inch and a desktop.

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.
