I have 15Gb iPod. While I was in Europe I had to wipe it clean to use it as a Hard Disk to bring back 12Gb of PAL DV fotage we shot over there. I could not simply dump it on my DV Camera. It all worked fine. I copied the footage to my Hard Disk, reformat the iPod, upgrade to v2.01 and reimport my 13Gb AAC library. Except now, I noticed this strange phenomenon. Once in a while (quite regurlarly) When the iPod is hooked to my Mac, I see on it's screen a spinning Hard Disk with a magnifying glass icon. There's a progress bar at the bottom that takes more than a few minute to go from start to end. After that, the Hard Disk icon has a Checkmark next to it. Then I can normaly use the iPod. Is this related to the reformating I did (using Disk Utility) or is it v2.01?
