I finally got around to installing Microsoft Keyboard 2.3 on my Power Macintosh G4 (PCI Graphics) running Mac OS 9.2.2.

Unfortunately, it seems to have disabled the Sleep key on my Internet Keyboard Pro. Now, whenever I need to put my computer to sleep, restart, or shut down, I have to switch to the Finder and choose the appropriate item from the Special menu. Inconvenient.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

Did you check your MS Keyboard settings to make sure it's still programmed to do that?

You may just need to set it back to what you want it to do.

Yeah, the Sleep key is still set to "Power Key".

The update software disabled the key entirely. Pressing any other special hot key (Volume, Mute, Media, Back, Calculator, et al.) while the Microsoft Keyboard control panel is open and in front brings up a dialog box asking me what I want to set it to do. The Sleep key does nothing even then.

This is frustrating. The Sleep key is the only special hot key that I actually use on this keyboard and now it won't work.
