I bought an Apple G4 "Quicksilver" Dual 800. It did not come with the BTO Apple Internal modem.

Question: Can I order this particular Apple modem and install it myself? Or better yet, should I? (Are there better/cheaper fax modem options?)

Basically I want an internal fax modem for the built-in fax features of the upcoming Panther OS X.

Appreciate any help/info,
jca

If you want an internal, you'll have to take the machine to an Apple dealer, have them order the part, and have them install it. Apple only sell parts to dealers, and doesn't allow them to sell parts without dealer installation.

There are externals available online, through third party providers.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?
