I saw a brief mention of this a few days ago... left the tab up on Mozilla.. came home, forgot about it and lost it.

The general gist seemed to be that this connection method would insert between the antenna connection and the car head-unit.

I did a few searches at the sites I normally visit and came up empty.

Can anyone point me to info on this? Or was I just smoking dope and dreamed this up?

Thanks!
Mike

I put a photo up towards the bottom of the page:

To all those who went out and bought the iTrip. I told you so. <grin>

Be aware that an antenna adaptor still won't sound as good as having a direct line in. But it avoids having to buy a new amp and the like. While not perfect, I rather like mine.

Thanks for the pointer!

You mentioned the volume being too low... are you using the line-out of a gen3 iPod, or headphone out?

I find that the line-out (from the Dock) seems to saturate my tape adaptor (I wish it were a tad lower)

thanks,
Mike

I have a rev A 10 Gig iPod. I find that you have to keep the volume on the iPod at about 80% max or you start to get distortion. But in my Pathfinder this is fine and I can hera it fine. It won't play as loud as my CD player for sure. Volume is about 40% whatever your CD or radio volume is. But that's still reasonably loud at max.
