I've got a AGP 450 G4 (SCSI, 20gb drive). I've been having some problems with my hard drive(s). Am running 10.2.4.

What happens is I get random corruption of files. With my photoshop files, I would get an error message that suggests the file was corrupted because of faulty termination or cables. I would see funny color bars. Sometimes the problem goes away if I try to load the file again. Othertimes the file is toast.

I bought a 200 GB LaCie Firewire drive two weeks ago thinking if my SCSI chain has gone bellie up, at least the FIREWIRE drive would run. I get the same type of errors on the new drive.

What could be causing it? Could it be the I/O controller on the motherboard? I will try and replace my SCSI cables next. Will also try to reinstall a fresh copy of 10.2.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
If there were no God, it would be necessary to invent him.
